The quilt was made for a church raffle on February 15, 1931. Raffle tickets sold for $0.10 each and the name on the ticket was embroidered on a single strip of fabric.
There are 1,000 names embroidered on the quilt!!

The quilt was won by Freda Hubbard and donated to the Pepin County Historical Society in 1992. The quilt has been carefully stored at the historical society and has not been on display in 30 years.
